Raise your hand if you skated around your parents’ floors in socks in 1992 pretending to be Nancy Kerrigan or Kristi Yamaguchi… just me? I have really fond memories of watching The Olympic Winter Games on TV as a child and now that my kids are getting old enough, I’m really excited to watch The Olympic Winter Games 2018 together. I have a hunch I may spot Quinn doing some fancy spins in her socks on our wood floors ;).
In the spirit of The Olympic Winter Games, I decided to put together a fun little Team USA set up, perfect for an Olympic Winter Games Watch Party. P&G is a Team USA Partner and makes all of the party-prep essentials that you probably already have in your house – Charmin, Bounty, Swiffer, Dawn, Febreeze. I grabbed all of our food from Schnucks (my favorite St. Louis grocery store) and also picked up Bounty paper towels, Charmin toilet paper, Dawn dish soap, and a new Swiffer sweeper – you can get a free Team USA P&G backpack when you buy $30 of P&G products from 1/23 – 1/30 at Schnucks. Check your local store for more details!

I did a couple fun little things to make our Olympic Winter Games Watch Party a little “extra”… I made a cute little American flag fruit skewers plate – check it out + see the whole party setup here:
Team USA FRUIT KABOBS
These are really easy and a real crowd pleaser (especially if you have kids!). I used raspberries, blueberries and mini marshmallows. You’ll also need wood skewers. PRO TIP: wet the skewers before you start putting stuff on them – it keeps the marshmallows from getting stuck on the stick.

I used 12 wood skewers – for 5 of them, I did ‘raspberry, marshmallow, raspberry, marshmallow, 4 blueberries’ and for the other 7, I alternated ‘raspberry/marshmallow’ with 4 raspberries and 3 marshmallows total. Cute, right?!

The Decorations
I decorated with a HUGE American flag as the backdrop for the party. I hung tiny gold medals from our light fixture, and added red, white and blue paper fans to the table, which was wrapped in Kraft paper.

The Food
I stuck with the Team USA theme for the menu:
- mini apple pies
- American flag fruit kabobs
- strawberry & blueberry infused water
- mini burgers
- corndogs
Instead of using ‘real’ plates, I opted for easy clean up with red and white checkered ‘boats’ and Bounty paper towels for any messes – I <3 the Select-A-Size because I don’t always need a whole paper towel.

Cooper helped me party prep – cutest little butler ever. The Swiffer Sweeper is a MUST for wood floors + kids + a dog.
